Cornelius Elementary Robotics Crew lands trophy
Jan. 30. Cornelius Elementary’s Robotics staff introduced residence a trophy from the NC FIRST Lego League (FLL) Problem State Championship. The staff positioned fourth in Core Values, and ranked tenth in Robotic Run out of 90 qualifying groups. Groups are scored on the competitors based mostly on their robotic run efficiency, their analysis mission and their presentation and awards are introduced to the highest 4 groups in 5 classes: Champion’s, Core Values, Innovation Undertaking, Robotic Design and Robotic Efficiency.
Cornelius was awarded the Choose’s Award in a NC FIRST Lego League (FLL) Problem qualifying match held at Olympic Excessive College in Charlotte final November, and scored excessive sufficient to advance to the State Championship, which was held at North Carolina A&T College in Greensboro.
Background
FLL gives project-based, hands-on STEM packages to introduce college students to engineering and coding via an annual robotics problem centered round a yearly theme. This 12 months’s theme is Vitality. The scholars designed, constructed and coded a Lego robotic to finish particular duties on the match.
